Why a Lighthouse?
Mr. Halsey William Wilson, founder of
H.W. Wilson, had a lighthouse constructed
on top of the company building in Bronx,
NY in 1929. The lighthouse was meant to
symbolize the mission: “To give guidance to
those seeking their way through the maze of
books and periodicals, without which they
would be lost."
